Lack of big student leader not good for democracy, says CJI

Chief Justice N V Ramana on Thursday forayed into a topic unusual for a judge to pick up and said that in the past three decades since liberalisation of India’s economy, no big student leader has emerged from the academic community, which is adversely affecting the strengthening of democracy in the country.
