BJP corners 79% of donations, Congress manages just 12%

Contributions to BJP in excess of Rs 20,000 rose by 28.7% to Rs 614.5 crore in 2021-22 from Rs 477.5 crore in 2020-21. Also, BJP cornered almost 79% share in overall donations by individuals, corporates and electoral trusts to the national parties (minus CPI, for which figures are not yet available) during the last fiscal, with Congress managing just about 12% share in the pie.
